In the last few years, one third of the world’s bee population has vanished. This phenomenon is known as the “Bee Colony Collapse”. The reason is still unknown. In winter, bees live approximately five to eight months. In spring and summer however, when it blooms outside and the bees have much more work to do, they live between one and three months.

As our landscape changes, the air becomes evermore polluted and nature is increasingly repressed by urban space, the bees‘ work becomes much harder and their lives more stressful. People exploit bees for their own needs, without giving anything back. Maybe – just like us humans – the bees need to stop their work sometimes and just rest a bit, even if it’s only for five minutes. An armchair in their size could give them this opportunity…
