Design-graduates from the Berlin university of the arts provide information and insights into a multi-faceted profession.
We ask our guests to look back from the professional context and talk about their experiences: about the education at Berlin UdK, the city of Berlin as a catalyst, helpful networks, platforms and partners – on the way into the major or their own studios. And we provide the opportunity for additional questions.
tuesday, 5 may, 7pm: discourse-space car
with Susan Michel (color & trim designer at Adam Opel AG), Kristof Speer (freelance designer), Daniel Schulze (bitsbeauty)
host: Prof. Axel Kufus
The evening brings together three graduates of the UdK and the KHB Weissensee whose careers have developed in very different ways since their degrees. The creative work on and in the car is what they have in common, whether as a freelancer for various companies or integrated in the design department of leading German carmakers. What design-specific challenges and questionings are connected with that and how versatile or complex the role of the designer within the transportation design is, will be part of the different lectures and the discussion afterwards.
In cooperation with Prof. Axel Kufus & Team.
