Sustainable Design Tips the Scales
How do we know if something is eco-friendly or not? Can we scale the so called greenness of today’s designs?
In order for sustainable development to happen, both designers and consumers need more information about what is or is not ecological. Designers work with tools to measure the impact of their designs such as Life Cycle Analysis and Ecological Footprint meters. They also need to communicate the results in an attractive way, and can even go as far as to create designs that help people measure their impacts in order to lead a more responsible life.
