• Bundespreis Ecodesign 2022

    The German Ecodesign Award honours designers, companies and students from Germany and Europe whose work make an important contribution to the sustainable transformation of our economy and society. The award has been granted annually since 2012 by the Federal Ministry for the Environment and the German Environment Agency in cooperation with the International Design Center Berlin.

    All nominated and award-winning entries in the current competition are presented in a touring exhibition in the following year, which will also be presented at designtransfer.

    Opening: 16 June, 18:00 with Talks Prof Ineke Hans & Tim Schütze

    At the opening, Prof Ineke Hans will present the chair REX – winner in the category “Service” – as well as other of her projects in the field of plastic and the UdK student Tim Schütze his nominated project Monoplan, created in a cooperation with the BASF Creation Center and the course of studies Product Design / Design & Social Context under the direction of Prof Ineke Hans.

    On 20 June, in the context of the exhibition at designtransfer, the lecture Redesign the Ordinary by Johanna Seelemann will take place, in which she explores material cultures that refer to everyday objects and their contexts, production systems and ecological cycles in order to design desirable future scenarios.
